In a time where money and time are becoming more and more valuable, homeowners are seeking to save money and decorate their own kitchen in there own individual style. Homeowners can save up to £5,000 by merely combining clever mosaic and junk shop scouring and incoporate it into their own kitchens design.
Although the entire process of renovating your kitchen may sound easy and relativly cheap, kitchens are the most expensive of all rooms in terms of expenditure. However there are a few points that you should keep in mind whenever you are planning on renovating or installing your own kitchen.
Firstly you have deceide whether you want fitted of free standing furniture. If your looking for fitted kitchens at a bargain price, no one can compare better to IKEAS range. If your opting to install free standing furniture, then junk shops and flea markets are the perfect place to head to. Wooden tables and chester draws, waxed in an old fashion and retro style can give your kitchen that vintage look which is unavailable in the main stream furnituire stores.
Secondly accessories. Charity shops and auctions are a great place to start at. There are plenty of vintage napkins and cutlery which can be purchased at a great price. Simple things like changing the shades on your lights or repainting the doors and units can give your kitchen a fresh new image and feel.
